EMMA VANDERPLIGHT
CREATIVE DIRECTOR + OWNER
With fifteen years experience with the elite Biba group, Emma has trained under some of the nations finest stylists.
Emma’s philosophy in life and hair is about keeping it simple. She doesn’t take things too seriously and loves to add an effortless sparkle in her wake.
Drawing inspiration from travel, architecture and fashion. When she's not making the world blonde, she is spending time with her husband Brad, fluff ball Mila and renovating houses.

MASTER STYLIST
I first knew I wanted to do hair when i was sick of boring jobs and I wanted to go something more creative!
My favourite part about doing hair is creating dimensional balayage and lived in blondes
Outside work I love to hang with my cat Fergus and go on camping/fishing adventures with friends.
I love being a part of the EMVHAIR team because I get to work with 4 positive female role models everyday! I love watching everyone work and learning from them all! It’s the perfect support group, especially as an apprentice.

CREATIVE DIRECTOR
My favourite part of hairdressing is that every client is so different. I love finding the right style for clients face shape, hair type and most importantly, their personality and amount of time spent on hair.
I also love educating how to manage your new style at home with the right products and tools or just hands and fresh air.
Outside of work, I love the beach and the water with my family and I love to travel (when this is possible again!)
Me and my family just moved to the peninsula and we are so happy exploring all it has to offer!
I love being a part of the EMVHAIR team because it really is a team!! Awesome people that are all authentically themselves, make everyone who walks in the door feel welcome and give each clients the time and attention they deserve from the minute they come in till they leave!
SARAH
EXECUTIVE STYLIST
I have over 16 years experience as a hairstylist and I’m so excited to be looking after the beautiful clients at EMVHAIR.
I started my hairdressing career back in December 2004, after I finished year 12. I listened to my heart and realised hairdressing was my dream.
I absolutely love creating beautiful, shiny, healthy blondes for my clients. Weather it’s a lived in subtle blonde or a bright and in your face full head transformation, blondes are my fave. But I also love the richness and look of a dark brown chocolate head of hair too.
I’m a loud, talkative and out going person. I love to get my girly on and do my hair and make up and go out for a dance on the weekends with my besties.
I’m a wife, a sister, a daughter and my favourite- a MUM. I have two little humans with my husband John, named Alyssa and Jack.
I’m also very much into fitness and eating healthy (but everything in moderation) and a little cheeky wine here and there keeps me sane.
I love working at EMVHAIR mostly because of the amazing team of girls we have but also because we have the best boss woman lady leading the way. All the girls here at EMV are so supportive and positive it just makes coming to work so much fun.
I know that each and everyone one of us puts in 100% to make sure you, the clients, leave feeling like you have made a new friend and hopefully a hairdressers for life.
